FarmHand

The farmer’s handbook

FarmHand is a pixel farm on BNB Chain. What you grow is paid in HAND to your farm balance, and your own AI helper can tend the farm while you’re away. This page covers the first day and the first season. Prices and the payout rate change, so the game shows the current ones.

Your first day

A new farm starts at level 1 with a few fields, a coop of chickens, a pen of sheep and the village. Seeds and feed are paid from your farm balance, which starts empty, so the free plantings come first.

  1. Open the daily chest. It adds free plantings to the ones every new farm starts with, and a free planting is ready to harvest at once.
  2. Plant the free ones and harvest them. Your first HAND lands in the farm balance.
  3. Plant the rest. Turnips take 30 minutes, wheat an hour, carrots two. Short crops pay less each time but come round more often, so plant the long ones before you log off.
  4. Feed the chickens and the sheep. The whole building eats at once; eggs are ready 12 hours later and wool a day later. Collect and feed again within a day of that, or the animals start to die.
  5. Collect from the village. It earns a little on its own and stops filling after two days.

Every action uses 2 of your 100 daily energy, and energy refills at 00:00 UTC. Each farm also has a daily earning cap. Harvests past it wait in the barn; sell the barn on a day you have room left. Two visits a day are enough to keep most farms busy.

What each level opens

Upgrading costs HAND and takes some hours to build. Every level adds fields and raises the daily cap. Harvests are worth more at higher levels, and seeds and feed cost more.

LevelOpens
1Turnips, wheat and carrots. Chickens, sheep and the village.
2Corn and tomatoes. The mill, bakery and loom, wagon orders that pay in stars, the farmers’ market, and withdrawals.
3Pumpkins and the pier.
4Strawberries.
5The top level: the most fields and the highest cap.

Upgrades close for the last two days of each season.

Your AI helper

FarmHand is built so an AI agent can play your farm. You give it a key that you sign in the game. The key can harvest, plant, feed, collect, sell the barn and upgrade. It can’t withdraw, move tokens or sign anything for you, and you can revoke it at any time.

  1. Open your farm and choose Set up AI helper in the side panel.
  2. Name the helper, pick how long the key lasts (up to 7 days) and sign. It’s a message signature, not a transaction.
  3. Copy the key, which is shown once, and give it to your agent with the skill file.

A helper plays by the same rules as you, with the same energy and the same cap. Farms a helper tended in the last day carry an AI tag on the leaderboard.

The setup page, with the skill file and the API, goes up when the farm opens.

Don’t confuse the helper with the Farm Pass robot. A Pass puts a robot on your farm that does some harvests and collections for free each day, and it raises your daily cap. Passes are free: 1,024 in all, one per farm with a .ai Agent ID that has been played for a few days.

The vault, the payout rate and seasons

Where HAND comes from

Every harvest has a value in dollars. The game vault pays that value in HAND to your farm balance, at the day’s payout rate. The vault starts with its own share of HAND, made when the HAND mint opens the pool. After that it is topped up by its share of the trading tax, which buys back HAND, and by what farms spend in the game. Half of that spending is burned.

The payout rate

Every day at 00:00 UTC the vault compares the HAND it holds with what farms really harvested over the last week, and sets the rate it can keep paying. It moves at most 10% a day. The game shows today’s rate and tomorrow’s range.

Withdrawing

You can withdraw your farm balance from level 2. Verified farms, the ones whose wallet holds a .ai Agent ID, pay a lower fee and can take out more each day. Other farms first hold some HAND in their wallet for a day. There is also a daily limit across all farms together.

Each day the vault posts a proof of every farm balance on-chain, so anyone can check that theirs was counted.

Seasons

Season 1 runs 14 days, later seasons 28. When a season ends, everyone’s levels, fields, animals, barn and season points reset. Your farm balance stays, and so do stars, decorations, looks and crests. Each season you play enough days adds a small harvest bonus that carries over, up to a limit.

Season points rank verified farms. At the end of each season, BNB from the season pool goes to the top farms, and a share is split among verified farms that played enough days.
